The French news channel France 24 has published a list of towns in France which provide FREE Bus Transport. mainly as a move to increase the use of public transport and reduce reliance on private cars, and the consequent comgestion and pollution.

- Châteaudun (since 2009)- 28 Eure-et-Loir, Centre-Val-de-Loire
- Châteauroux (since 2001) – 36 Indre, Centre-Val-de-Loire
- Crépy-en-Valois (since 2011) – 60 Oise, Hauts de France
- Figeac (since 2003) – 46 Lot, Occitanie
- Gaillac (since 2014) – 81 Tarn, Occitanie
- Issoudun (since 2002)- 36 Indre, Centre-Val-de-Loire
- Mayenne (since 2002) – 53 Mayenne, Pays de la Loire
- Niort (since 2017) – 79 Deux-Sevres, Nouvelle Aquitaine
- Noyon (since 2008) – 60 Oise, Hauts de France
- Nyons (since 2011) – 26 Drome, ARA
- Pont-Sainte-Maxence (since 2006) – 60 Oise, Hauts de France
