Short Haul Flights within France
The French Government has decided to try to reduce pollution from airlines by banning short haul flights within France ( flights of under 2½ hours), on the basis that an efficient network of high speed trains offers a suitable alternative. Naturally the airliine industry is not happy!.
So far this has only affected the following routes, mainly from from Paris Orly:
- Paris (ORY) to Bordeaux (BOD)
- Paris (ORY) to Lyon (LYS)
- Paris (ORY) to Nantes (NTE)
- Paris (ORY) to Rennes (RNS)
- Lyon (LYS) to Marseille (MRS)
