FRANCE and COVID19: as at 1 April 2022

The rules vary depending on where you live/arriving from:

GREEN list countries (includes UK and USA) – all travellers can come for any reason – including holidays, family visits and visits to second-homes.

ORANGE list countries (includes Australia) – fully vaccinated travellers can come for any reason, but unvaccinated travellers can only enter France if their trip is essential

From 14 January 2022, France has relaxed its rules for vaccinated travellers entering the country from the GREEN list countries including UK and USA. Vaccinated passengers can now travel without a compelling reason and do not have to self-isolate after arriving in France.

From 1 April 2022, the rules for entering France from the UK are also easing for non-vaccinated individuals.

Individuals who are not fully vaccinated will be allowed to travel from the UK to France for any reason and that includes tourism and visiting friends and family.

If you’re not vaccinated, you’ll only need to have a valid proof of a negative test (PCR taken within 72 hrs or an antigen test taken within 48 hrs before departure) or a valid proof of recovery (for more information, check the official French Government website).
