Nantes (44, Loire-Atlantique, Pays de la Loire) has a summer festival called Le Voyage à Nantes (the Journey to Nantes), which is an exciting street festival/arts trail with exhibitions, art installations such as the famous mechanical elephant, gardens, open spaces etc 6 July – 8 September 2024

Follow the green line under your feet and drift through this 10-mile trail, with its thirty stops, from le Lieu Unique to the western tip of the Île de Nantes. Along the way, let yourself be guided from a public work of art in a random side street to a remarkable element of the architectural heritage, from classic sites to little-known treasures, from an historical back alley to contemporary architecture, and from a surprising view of the city to an incredible sunset on the Loire estuary.

Every summer, Nantes gets a little more animated than usual so that, with or without the sun, coming to breathe in the air and atmosphere of the city becomes addictive! Visit installations in the heart of public spaces, exhibitions in artistic venues and heritage sites, or new places to socialize and meet people! see

To this end, and what makes this structure exemplary, is the yearly event it organizes every summer highlighting this cultural project via an urban itinerary, where city spaces are filled with both temporary and permanent artworks.
