Mouthier-Haute-Pierre (25, Doubs) is an important centre for the production of kirsch (a clear, colourless brandy made from double distillation of cherries). Cherry trees grow in large numbers in the Loue and Lison valleys. The village is dominated by the rock of Haute-Pierre.
