The riverside town of Nérac (47 Lot-et-Garonne, Aquitaine) hosts a flower market marché aux fleurs 10-11 May 2014
Nérac is known for its boating options – on the river Baise, on the nearby Canal de Garonne with plenty of opportunities for sailing along the river (boats for hire) or a waterside stroll. However this May weekend will be a riot of colour and scents as local producers from the fertile valley of the Garonne cone together in a flower market in the town.
The town is dominated by its impressive chateau, which has links to Henry IV and other royal notables. It now houses an important museum (Château-Musée Henri IV).
