Loire Music Festival
2022 saw the return of the Sully and Loiret Music Festival (Festival de Sully et du Loiret) andin 2024 will be held 29 May- 15 June 2024 at Sully-sur-Loire (45 Loiret, Cantre – Val-de-Loire)
Within the Loire Valley UNESCO World Heritage site of The Loire Valley between Sully-sur-Loire and Chalonnes.
The Loire Valley is an outstanding cultural landscape of great beauty, containing historic towns and villages, great architectural monuments (the châteaux), and cultivated lands formed by many centuries of interaction between their population and the physical environment, primarily the river Loire itself.
Sully sur Loire is a charming town on the banks of the Loire, whose origins date back to Roman times. With its famous fortress, Sully sur Loire is the ideal starting point to start visiting the tourist attractions of the Loire Valley.
The Festival includes a wide range of music inclufing Classical, modern, opera and jazz! concerts are held every year in the magnificent Chateau de Sully, as well as other sites in the Loiret département, usually of heritage or architectural interest. The programme always includes a wide variety of works, eras and geographical origins.
Sullu-sur-Loire is aboout 48km/30 miles east of Orleans.
