The town of Sancerre (18 Cher, Centre-Val de Loire) holds its annual Sancerre Wine Festival to showcase the local wines over a weekend when cars are banned from the village 18 – 19 May 2024
Sancerre is typically a highly-rated dry white wine from the Sauvignon Blanc grape, thought to go particularly well with food (especially fish) – although some red and rosé is made from Pinot Noir.
