This is very French – a snail farm in the middle of Normandie!
The French Escargot is widely used in French cuisine,primarily as a starter often cooked with garlic butter and served on a special dish – une escargotière.
Situated in the Normandie-Maine Natural Regional Park near Alençon (61 Orne, Normandie) the Escargot du Patis welcomes visitors by appointment to see around the farm and learn more about the farming of this delicacy as part of the Bienvenue à la Ferme scheme
