There is an annual cider festival at Le Sap (61 Orne, Normandie), not far from Vimoutiers and Camembert country! 12 – 13 November 2022 – Fête du Cidre à l’ancienne, usually one of the last cider festivals of the season.
attractions include:-
- Traditional production of cider with specific tools of the 18th century usually exhibited in the museum “from the apple to the Calvados” (apple brandy)
- Traditional cider distillation to get Calvados thanks to itinerant stills
- Market of local products and demonstrations of local crafts
- Musical atmosphere and refreshment stall (to eat and drink)
