Of course, the more familiar event is the Cannes Film Festival (Festival de Cannes)which takes place 17-28 May 2017 with all the glitter, film stars and hoopla! you might expect by the Mediterranean in Spring, the equivalent of the French Oscars!.
Hollywood and Paparazzi -invade the town, the already high prices rise even further – and you can get the chance to sample the hedonistic atmosphere against the stunning background of the Mediterranean and the Promendade des Anglais!
It is a bit like the Tour de France – love it or hate it, get there or avoid it – and very French!
