In the heart of one of the most alluring areas of France there is a British-owned B&B near Quillan, (11 Aude, Languedoc-Roussillon) – Les Eaux Tranquilles.
The B&B at Belvianes-et-Cavirac offers so much:- In the foothills of the Pyrenees and within easy reach of Carcassonne and its fantastic medieval city/castle; the Cathar castles of Peyrepertuse and Queribus are only about 30 miles away; the vineyards of Limoux and the Malepère (between Limoux and Carcassonne), not to mention the sheer variety of activities for the energetic – walking, cycling, climbing and water sports – all amongst magnificent scenery and dramatic landscapes and gorges.
The B&B itself is in a great position and lives up to its name – a quiet stretch of the River Aude and is finished to a high standard of accommodation The house is located in two acres of private park, one half is laid to lawn with shady trees to sit under while the other half has been semi cultivated providing a natural habitat to the local flora and wild life – You can also fish (fly or lure) from the garden! Our stay was most memorable and good value for money.
