Although seldom seen outside the département, Meurthe et Moselle (54 Lorraine, Grand Est) the AOC Côtes de Toul is produced around the town of Toul on the French stretch of the Moselle river, where it is joined by the Canal de la Marne au Rhin.
12 – 14 April 2024 the town holds a Wine Fair (Salon des Vins) with more than 60 exhibitors from all over France ( and a few from other countries)- Toul Wine Fair
Côtes de Toul AC produces Red, White and Rosé wines , of which Vin Gris is the best known – a type of Blush winemade from the Gamay grape. (Vin Gris = a white wine made from red grapes, achieved by ensuring the grape skins have only limited contact with the juices when pressed.)
