The town of Sens (89 Yonne, Bourgogne-Franche-Comte) has a remarkable heritage, including the gothic Cathédrale Saint-Etienne, the first gothic cathedral; the Archbishops Palace (Palais Synodal); the parks and gardens, one of them being classified “Jardin Remarquable”.
The Cathedral is illuminated on Friday and Saturday evenings during the summer to include the gothic facades of the Cathédrale Saint-Etienne and the adjoining palace are transformed with a spectacular light show.

Awarded as Jardin Remarquable “in 2011, the Park of the Moulin à Tan, enables you to see different countryside and tropical greenhouses such as the astonishing «Victoria Cruziana», a giant aquatic plant native to the Amazon. It is the glory of the collection. It is one of the most visited parks in Burgundy with more than 200,000 visitors annually.
