2014 paris roubaix poster

One of the classics in the French cycling calendar this is usually a brutally competitive early season race which includes the notorious pavé, cobbled roads of northern France which are ill-suited to finely-tuned racing bikes or athletes. Although known as Paris-Roubaix it does not start in or near Paris!

The next event is on 7 April 2024. It is cobbled lanes for nearly 60km of the 260km course which usually starts in Compiegne (60 Oise, Hauts de France) 80km north of Paris and finishes in Roubaix on the northern outskirts of Lille (59 Nord, Hauts de France)

The 120th Paris–Roubaix will be held on Sunday, 7 April 2024 on a 256.6 km course stretching from Compiègne to Roubaix Velodrome and featuring 54.5 km of cobblestones. One of the 29 sectors on the menu —Haspres— is returning to the race nearly two decades after its latest appearance.

Paris–Roubaix Femmes avec Zwift, whose fourth edition will be held on 7 April 2024 has been lengthened to 145.4 km (versus 124.7 km in 2022). Following the extended roll-out from Denain, the women will merge onto the men’s course to tackle an identical succession of 17 cobbled sectors (for a total of 29.2 km).
