With its streets and squares which combines, in a joyous mood, the crowd, the merchants and the inevitable fun fair, the fair’s reputation is well estabished. Formalized at the time of Napoleon, since it takes place each November 11 and no one has ever missed.
Givet is on the banks of the river Meuse, close to the Belgian border. It also has the Charlemont Fortress built in the 16th Century by the Emperor Charles V.
