The Guardian (16 November 2014) reports that nearly 200 years after his death, some of Napoleon Bonaparte’s belongings are being auctioned off!

Napoleon Bicorne Hat

The objects, including bronzes and statues, were sold by the Monaco ruling family, the Grimaldis, in order to make room for a new museum dedicated to Princess Grace of Monaco, the former Hollywood actor Grace Kelly.
One of his famous bicorne hats fetched €1.5m!

Other examples of this iconic cocked hat can be seen at the Musée de l’Arméemusee_de_l'armee in the Paris Invalides!, which also houses Napoleon’s Tomb!
