The wine region of Muscadet, centred on Nantes (44 Loire-Atlantique, Pays de la Loire) gets into party mode with the “Muscadétours” Muscadet wine festival 4 – 6 October 2019!
There is another Muscadet Wine Festival to celebrate the new vintage in Clisson in December
“Muscadétours“is a special creation waiting to invite you to the heart of the vineyard of Nantes with numerous activities in various emblematic places around the wine district. Muscadétours allows you to discover or rediscover the riches of Nantes vineyard and its wine heritage.
The Festival is designed to help visitors to get to know about the wines, their cultivation and production as well as the gastronomy and heritage of the area. There are a number of different appellations and Muscadet has come some way since those rather thin and very acidic wines of my youth. Yet it remains true that generally these white wines are excellent with fish and seafood!
The Marché Gourmande is in Divatte-sur-Loire (44 Loire-Atlantique, Pays de la Loire), just to the east of Nantes, but there are numerous events over the Muscadet area.

Muscadet de Sèvre et Maine Sur Lie 2014 Domaine de la Tourmaline
