The Truffle Festival is making its grand return to Lalbenque on 24 -26 January 2025. This truffle celebration is an unmissable event in the heart of the truffle market season. Conferences, discovery and gastronomic meals, truffle markets, digging, exhibitions, craft market are all moments of meetings and sharing around the black diamond.The main street and neighbouring streets are fragrant with the perfume of truffles. Buyers and tourists crowd round the stalls where the producers sell their harvest.

Local restaurants feature specially created dishes to celebrate the truffle in season such as the Michelin- starred Le Gindreau at St Medard, a Restaurant with rooms just west of Cahors, which we visit for special ocassions if in the area.
