The Riviera city of Nice (06 Alpes-Maritimes, (Provence) hosts its Jazz Festival 20 – 23 July 2024.
Over 500 musicians are scheduled to perform at the Nice Jazz Festival, which is now one of the biggest jazz festivals in Europe. It was set up in 1948 by Jacques Hebey, and took its present name in 1994.
Over 75 concerts will take place during the festival, with performances very evening, on three different stages in the olive groves and Roman arenas from 7pm to midnight. A number of outstanding artists will be performing in an eclectic variety of styles, with the programme balanced between ouverture and classic.
Some of the very best have performed here in the past, including Dizzy Gillespie, Cab Calloway, Lionnel Hampton, Jimmy Cliff, Gilberto Gil, Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughan, Charlie Mingus, Eubie Blake, and many more.
