The wines of the Fiefs Vendéens come from the Vendée region of France (85 Vendée, Poitou Charentes), south of the Loire Valley, a short distance inland from the Atlantic Coast.

The wines are predominantly white made from Chenin, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blac. Reds and Rosés use Gamay and Pinot Noir with some Cabernet. These wines are generally for drinking young and are seldom found in the UK.

The wines are generally classified by the “villages” – Brem, Mareuil, Pissotte and Vix. Originally a VDQS it has now been promoted to full AOC status.
