2025 marks 10 years since the Climats de Bourgogne (Burgundy Terriors) were recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage site and hence every Spring there is a Festival to celebrate: Le Mois des Climats 2 May – 3 July 2025

A festival of unique events to discover the different facets of the Climats of Burgundy vineyards, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. More than 80 events are planned – Exhibitions, vineyard walks, guided tours, conferences, tastings, and activities…
Le Mois des Climats (Climats Month) is the summer festival not to be missed
- Numerous winery tours and tastings: Winemakers and wine houses offer tastings specially designed for Climats Month, at reduced prices or free of charge
- Unique guided walks and tours: Explore the Climats on foot or on “underground” guided tours that reveal historic cellars and other well-preserved heritage sites in Beaune, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Gevrey-Chambertin, and more.
- Lectures and exhibitions to reveal archival treasures or the secrets of the history of Climats and the Burgundy vineyard.
- Surprising events… for a treasure hunt in the heart of the vineyards or concerts and shows with a wine-themed feel. It’s time to stay curious!

The area listed runs from Dijon southwards to just south of Beaune, near Santenay.
Since the 6th century, winegrowers have gradually sought references to place and time (the vintage) as markers of the quality of wine production. Thus, over the centuries, they have gradually identified, delineated, and precisely named more than 1,200 Climats, protected since 1935 by the Appellations d’Origine Contrôlée (A.O.C.). It is this “Burgundian exception” that explains why, just a few meters apart, from one Climat to another, we obtain wines with different personalities [https://www.climats-bourgogne.com/en/]
