A vintage cycle festival, centred on Saumur (49 Maine-et-Loire, Pays de la Loire) with 4 routes through the vineyards of Anjou takes place 28 – 30 June 2024
This trendy and international rendez-vous gathered 2 650 cyclists on the roads and 20 000 visitors on the 100% vintage festival last year.
Truthful to the legend of the Anjou Vélo Vintage, the 4th edition had numerous surprises. On Sunday you could pedal on one of the three entirely remapped routes between Loire, castles and vineyards – treat yourself to La Rétro, the new legendary race of 150 kms for road slaves – and experience again the spirit of the period races with the criterium in the historic heart of Saumur on Saturday.
Yesteryear’s bicycle and fine machinery experts, decoration and retro style specialists, make-up artists, barbers, hairdressers, stall-holders, swing dancers, singers, street performers or acrobats: during two days the Vintage Festival settles in Saumur. Around a hundred animations will be offered again in a unique, unconventional and friendly atmosphere.
