June is a fairly quiet month on the roads in France – just the days around the offcial and unofficial public holidays when roads out of Paris and some other major cities will be busy before the holiday and then again after the holiday when roads back into the city will be busy. As a guide the French Government classifies days according to expected congestion: Then July and August are when the roads can be at their worst as many French people chose this period to go away! Although mainly based on anticipated Paris traffic it also applies to other major cities.
