This is such a rich area to visit &#8211; scenically, historically and from a wine (and food) perspective.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/Wines-Rh%C3%B4ne-Matt-Walls\/dp\/1999619331?crid=18L6JSANACAJ7&#038;keywords=rhone+wines&#038;qid=1640102946&#038;s=books&#038;sprefix=rhone%2Cstripbooks%2C62&#038;sr=1-2&#038;linkCode=li3&#038;tag=allezvinsfrenchr&#038;linkId=1ca5393eec04aaf1c0e92a5ede257563&#038;language=en_GB&#038;ref_=as_li_ss_il\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"\/\/ws-eu.amazon-adsystem.com\/widgets\/q?_encoding=UTF8&#038;ASIN=1999619331&#038;Format=_SL250_&#038;ID=AsinImage&#038;MarketPlace=GB&#038;ServiceVersion=20070822&#038;WS=1&#038;tag=allezvinsfrenchr&#038;language=en_GB\" ><\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/ir-uk.amazon-adsystem.com\/e\/ir?t=allezvinsfrenchr&#038;language=en_GB&#038;l=li3&#038;o=2&#038;a=1999619331\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" style=\"border:none !important; margin:0px !important;\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We chose to base the tour in <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/frenchduck.com\/latest\/provence-wine-villages-les-baux-and-st-remy\/\">St Remy de Provence<\/a><\/strong> (13, Bouches-du-Rh\u00f4ne, <em>PACA<\/em>) a few miles south of <strong>Avignon<\/strong> for easy access to <strong>Les Baux de Provence<\/strong>, <strong>Beaumes-de-Venise<\/strong>, <strong>Vacqueyras<\/strong>, <strong>Gigondas<\/strong>, <strong>Cairanne<\/strong>, <strong>Lirac<\/strong>, <strong>Tavel<\/strong> and <strong>Chateauneuf-du-Pape<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Others will choose different start points and other vineyards &#8211; importantly we think wine tours need to be paced, as an over-indulgence can dull the senses and diminish the enjoyment.
