The Burgundy town of Dijon<\/strong>(21 C\u00f4te d’Or, BFC<\/em>) celebrates with its F\u00eates de la Vigne <\/strong>(Dijon Vine Festival) – next – .5 – 10 July 2024<\/span><\/strong>
\nMaybe surprisingly this is a festival not primarily focused on vines, wine or even mustard! – although I suspect there may be the odd glass of wine drunk over the 5 days.<\/p>\n

\nEvery other year Dijon<\/strong> holds an acclaimed international festival of music and dance – and held in the historic Jardins Drancy<\/strong> in the town. There is an emphasis on folk and traditional music from other parts of France. Free entry.<\/p>\n

Dijon is of course famous for its Burgundy wines – the Route Des Grands Crus<\/strong><\/em> wine road runs from Dijon to Santenay and the vineyards of Vosne-Roman\u00e9e<\/strong> and Gevrey-Chambertin<\/strong> are within a few miles of the city centre.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
