Of course, the more familiar event is the Cannes Film Festival<\/strong> (Festival de Cannes<\/em>)which takes place 17-28 May 2017 <\/span><\/strong><\/span>with all the glitter, film stars and hoopla! you might expect by the Mediterranean in Spring, the equivalent of the French Oscars!.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hollywood and Paparazzi -invade the town, the already high prices rise even further – and you can get the chance to sample the hedonistic atmosphere against the stunning background of the Mediterranean and the Promendade des Anglais!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is a bit like the Tour de France – love it or hate it, get there or avoid it – and very French!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
