\"Cheverny<\/a>Grape Harvest Festival<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The wine appellations of Cheverny AOC and Cour-Cheverny AOC are just south of the Loire near Blois. On 6<\/strong><\/span> S<\/span><\/strong>eptember 2025 <\/strong><\/span>the local winemakers hold their Grape Harvest Festival<\/strong><\/span><\/span> (F\u00eate des Vendanges<\/em>) celebrating Cheverny wine. These neighbouring\/overlapping appellations produce red.white and ros\u00e9 wines. the main difference being that Cour-Cheverny AOC uses the seldom-seen Romorantin grape to produce dry, minerally aromatic white wines, whereas Cheverny AOC uses more traditional white wine varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

In Spring the Chateau holds its Tulip Festival 30 March – 30 April 2019. <\/span><\/strong>Every spring the tulip reigns supreme in the three gardens at Ch\u00e2teau de Cheverny.<\/p>\r\n

Over 150,000 bulbs <\/strong>are planted, notably to form a vast ribbon of tulips. Enchantment guaranteed!<\/em><\/p>\r\n

The small town of Cour-Cheverny<\/strong> has a decent selection of shops and a couple of hotels including the Hotel des Trois Marchands (3 Merchants) now upgraded and renamed to Relais des Trois Ch\u00e2teaux<\/strong><\/a> in the heart of the town – the rooms were comfortable, if plain, but the highlight is the restaurant where the food is memorable.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n
