Epernay<\/strong>, Capital of Champagne, offers a unique gastronomic and cultural heritage. At the heart of a wine-growing territory covering 35,000 hectares of vines, the city is home to renowned Champagne Houses, most of which are located on the Avenue de Champagne. Epernay welcomes more than 450,000 visitors each year.<\/p>\n\n\n

Since the 18th century, the avenue de Champagne<\/strong> has become a place of choice for sparkling wine. This straight line, more than a kilometer long, brings together the Committee of the Avenue de Champagne. Which is made up of prestigious Champagne Houses including Mo\u00ebt & Chandon, Demoiselle, Perrier-Jou\u00ebt, De Venoge, Boizel, Pol Roger, De Castellane, Mercier, Comtesse Lafond, winegrowers A. Berg\u00e8re<\/a>, Collard-Picard, Michel Gonet, Paul- Etienne Saint Germain and the Esterlin wine cooperative.
Today, nearly 200 million bottles are stored in the 110 kilometers of cellars located under the Avenue de Champagne and the surrounding streets. Some are real treasures by their age and rarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since July 2015, the \u201cChampagne Hillsides, Houses and Cellars\u201d property has been included on the \"unescoUNESCO World Heritage List in the \u201cLiving Evolving Cultural Landscape\u201d category. The avenue de Champagne is one of the three sites among the most representative of the spaces and work involved in the production, development and marketing of Champagne wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday and Saturday evenings, two festive evenings take place on the Avenue de Champagne. Illuminations, video-mappings, champagne bars, musical entertainment and fireworks create a unique and festive atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These evenings highlight the Avenue de Champagne and the great Houses that have made its reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
