The coastal town of Cap d’Agde<\/strong> (34 Herault, Occitanie<\/em>) holds an annual wine festival (Vinocap) 9 – 11 <\/span><\/strong><\/mark>May 2024<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Cap d’Agde is a lively town which is on a peninsula jutting out into the Mediterranean, hence ideal for boating, beach activities etc, with plenty of genuine charm from its days as a fishing port. Just 11 km\/7 miles away is Marseillan <\/strong>where you can tour the cellars of Noilly Prat<\/a><\/strong>, the iconic French vermouth. The Canal du Midi is also nearby in Agde<\/strong> – <\/p>\n\n\n\n

240 km long, the Canal du Midi linking Toulouse to S\u00e8te, was built in the 17th century. It is unique in the world, leading it to be listed as a UNESCO <\/strong>World Heritage site. Today, the Canal du Midi has two main activities: tourist navigation and transport of water for irrigation. Adge is the final stage of the Canal du Midi before the Thau lagoon and S\u00e8te.
