Mulhouse<\/strong> Carnaval<\/strong> (68 Haut-Rhin, Grand Est<\/em>) 5 -9 March 2025 <\/strong><\/span>– the city holds a Carnaval with an international atmosphere, being so close to the border with Switzerland (Basel) and Germany (Freiburg) – see http:\/\/carnaval-mulhouse.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event claims to have been running for more than 800 years with\u00a0decorated floats, processions, fife and drum bands, fancy dress and a festive atmosphere. In the evening, there will be live music!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mulhouse<\/strong> offers a typical Alsatian market with half-timbered stalls featuring exceptional fabric and other French products. Sip spice-scented mulled wine and nibble on festive gormet treats such as “bredele<\/em>” (small typically Alsatian cakes) or Christmas biscuits whilst shopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mulhouse<\/strong> has a tradition of producing high quality fabrics and every year a special Christmas fabric inspired by the collections kept at the Museum of Printing Fabrics is produced to dress the City Hall and fa\u00e7ades of the Place de la R\u00e9union, the pedestrian streets and chalets on the Christmas market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the historical centre of Mulhouse<\/strong> there will be a traditional Village of Arts and Crafts.
