The Chateau de Vendeuvre plays host to a tulip festival (Festival de la Tulipe<\/em>) 1-30 April 2025 <\/strong><\/span>which should be a great celebration of Spring – especially after such a long winter.- open every afternoon iin April<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This elegant 18th Century chateau, which also houses a collection of miniature furniture and has some famous gardens is open to the public each afternoon 2pm – 6pm – and will be showing at least 30,000 spring bulbs:<\/strong> tulips, daffodils, narcissi, crocuses etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It promises to be a riot of colour and you’ll be able to admire some rare specimens too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Admire a flowery carpet of crocus in the water surprise gardens. Hasty tulips, daffodils, grape hyacinths, and narcissus compose this border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thousands of tulips of various colors welcome you to the shell grotto. At the foot of wild cherries in flowers, see irregularly cut tulips with never two exactly similar flowers.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Vendeuvre<\/strong> is situated south of Caen<\/strong> (14 Calvados, Normandie<\/em>) and 15km \/10 miles north-east of Falaise<\/strong>. The Chateau is also open for visits to the house, gardens and museum May – September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
