12 – 17 July 2022<\/strong> <\/span>you can indulge in a feast of summer music with the Cahors Blues Festival<\/a><\/strong> (46 Lot, Occitanie<\/em>) .<\/strong><\/span> Amongst the attractions in previous years has been Rolling Stone Bill Wyman (well musically perhaps) and a free \u201ccocktail\u201d jazz session. Be advised that the term \u201cBlues\u201d here encompasses jazz, rock, gospel and swing \u2013 so there should be something for every taste!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile just 40 or so miles to the north, still in the Lot departement, but actually on the Dordogne river, the Souillac Jazz Festival<\/strong> runs 16 – 23 July 2022 <\/strong><\/span>\u2013with some events held in the surrounding villages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Man and Nature have both left their imprint on the Pech Merle cave and Padirac Chasm. When you’re rambling or cycling, the unspoiled, authentic nature of the Lot is plain to see.
