Normandy Snail Farm

This is very French – a snail farm in the middle of Normandie!

The French Escargot is widely used in French cuisine,primarily as a starter often cooked with garlic butter and served on a special dishune escargotière.

 

Situated in the Normandie-Maine Natural Regional Park near Alençon (61 Orne, Basse-Normandie) the Escargot du Patis  welcomes visitors by appointment to see around the farm and learn more about the farming of this delicacy as part of the Bienvenue à la Ferme scheme
