Montauban foodies Festival

24 July 2016 sees the Montauban Foodies Festival or Festival of Taste and Flavours (Fete du gout et des saveurs) in Montauban (82 Tarn-et-Garonne, LRMP)

Fete du Gout et des SaveursAbout 50 producers, selected for the quality of their products, you will discover their expertise: fruit juice, jams and sauces, honey, beer and wine, cheeses, seasonal fruits and vegetables, garlic, onions, peppers, various vegetable oils, meats and cold cuts of pork, duck, beef, lamb, pigeon …., snails, prunes, yoghurts and flans cow, goat or sheep, truffles, saffron, bread, crisps, oils of lavender or violets, plants flowers and shrubs, dried flowers, mohair …

Throughout the day you can have fun while learning about agriculture of yesterday and today (or rediscover!): Introduction to milking by hand and visit the “milking robot” (the cows are milked by themselves!), demonstrating the trait cows, and introduction to driving the tractor, herding dogs demonstration of old crafts, train rides, pedal tractors, pony rides or donkey, music groups…

Just choose your favorite dish among those offered by the producers! Scattered throughout the farm, 3,000 seats waiting for you!
You can enjoy, among other foie gras, peasant salad and cold cuts, snails in butter and Burgundy,roasted pigeons, goats on the spit, grilled beef, tournedos of duck breast, duck confit, cassoulet, aligot, sauerkraut … Pies and tarts house, homemade ice cream, pancakes ….
