Airports open in France

Whilst the French have announced that  all airspace north of an axis between Nice  and Bordeaux  will remain closed until at least 0600 GMT Tuesday 20 April 2010. the volcanic ash cloud still keeps UK and northern European destinations remain closed but the following southern French airports are open:-

France by Bus, Train, Road - but not by plane!

The recent shutdown of the skies across the UK, France and much of northern Europe has led to consideration of alternative modes of  transport – train is probably the most obvious, but there is heavy demand for Eurostar seats between London and Paris or Brussels and getting a reservation  at short notice will be difficult.
