A new link in the French Autoroute system has been completed (December 2010) with the A65 Langon – Pau road now linking Bordeaux with the Pyrenees.
The new route starts east of Bordeaux at a new junction with the A62 – the Autoroute des Deux Mers which links Toulouse and Bordeaux - east of Langon

Another example of the French passion for their food, the villages of Arrens Marsous (65 Hautes-Pyrénées, Midi-Pyrénées) in the Val d’Azun in the high Pyrenees celebrates the return of the local sheep and shepherds from the high summer pasture so that Autumn and Winter can be spent in the lower level sheltered valleys (transhumance).
